I had dinner here on the 15 March 2014 for the first time and what an experience it was. The warm, friendly welcome (even though I did not make a reservation) was a good way to start the evening. The two ladies La-la and Tessa are amazing and take such pride in their restaurant and the time to get to know each customer. They know their food and wine and you probably wouldn't have to look at the menu to decide on what you want.
I rarely have starters, mains and dessert but I'm glad I did this time as everything was delicious. I will definitely be going back time and again and I suggest you give it a try.

La Trinita will change your view on what is acceptable as true Italian cuisine. The food is incomparable and is worth the travel if you don't live in Midrand. The food is brilliant, La-la is an exquisite and entertaining hostess and you will never forget the experience. Don't even look at the menu... Just tell La-la what your food mood is and she will prepare a dish especially for you. I cannot recommend it enough.

They are incredible. They know what you are allowed or not allowed to eat. Everything is made with love and care. Thank you for taking the abuse you get from Peter, but always in a loving way. La-La always gives as good as she gets.

The food is unbelievable - possibly the best sauces I have ever eaten. La-La, Tessa and the staff create an atmosphere that is comfortable, down to earth but still leaves you feeling spoilt. I can't recommend La Trinita enough.

Apart from the exceptional friendly service, warm hosts, child friendly atmosphere, La Trinita has amazing food. A menu that offers fresh home cooked cuisine although there's always a suggestion to suit exactly what I desire. A quick lunch or a long lazy dinner. The best Italian food I have tasted. The service is excellent and the warmth of Lala and Tessa are evident on arrival. Personal supervision is given to each order and guests' likes and dislikes are duly noted. No job too big or too small for these jolly ladies, and I never tire of trying out their different dishes and mouth- watering desserts. I highly recommend it.

This has been by far the best Italian cooking I have ever tasted. it has had me coming back for more and more and more. The setting is divine, the food is outstanding, the ambiance is unbeatable, the price is unbeatable, the service is fantastic, even the kids felt they did not want to leave and find it a treat when I mention we are going back for ITALIAN at LA TRINITA! What more to be said than that this restaurant is simply the ultimate and best Italian experience if you are not in Italy and would like a taste of Italy. Fantastic and irresistible food, great staff, fabulous Tessa and La La who make sure that each individual there gets exactly what they want and are totally satisfied. Memorable and Unforgettable place to be. Fine people that treat everyone like family and know exactly how to put the yummy in your tummy ! If i did not live in Cape Town i would eat there every night.

If ever you are in the area of Kyalami do yourself a favour and pay a visit to La Trinita. It is an experience you will never forget and will want to re-visit this risotrante time and time again. For no doubt you will find the food superb as well as the relaxed ambience, created by a mother and daughter who are equally passionate in their cooking as well as making one feel welcome. There are so many delicious and versatile dishes to indulge in, and, while waiting for your meal to arrive you can relax with a wonderful glass of wine and watch the world go by from the terrazzo of La Trinita .

I've been going to Ristorante La Trinita since they opened and can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. It's the place I go with a group of friends or with the family because you're guaranteed good food and a good time. There is nothing that beats going to a restaurant and eating home made food. La Trinita offers that to me and my family. No matter what you order the quality, freshness and taste just makes you want to come back for more. My children love it and La La always puts a smile on there faces. Mom and daughter make a great team. Whether it's a family dinner or a romantic dinner for two La Trinita can offer you both.

So you think you have tasted Italian, not until you have been to Magnificent Mama Tessa & her lovely daughter La-La's restaurant. I say this because eating Italian is not just about eating; it's about feeling the love that went into preparing your meal. The best way to choose what to eat (very difficult as everything on the menu is delicious) would be to let La-La know what you like and let her surprise you with what will almost definitely be the best meal You have had up until now. You know what they say 'Italian cooking should be as good as an Italian in bed' and it is...Okay fine, I coined the phrase, now you can quote me. Love & Light

My wife and I have followed them around for years.Flavourful unhurried dining; a good selection of Italian and Local wines with a dollop of Lala's sharp wit and anecdotes will have you coming for more. Can't decide? Let Lala whip a chef's special that leaves the chain restaurants in the dust for taste and variety. Family run restaurants like this are a true find and oh so special. I've been to La Trinita 3 times and will keep going back. At the door, you're greeted warmly by the Italian mother-and-daughter owners and ushered to one of the cosy tables.
You're spoilt with delicious warm bread rolls or bruschetta when you arrive and when you're ready to order, the hostess sits down at your table to discuss each individual meal being freshly prepared that evening. If you request wine, 'Mama' will take you through each exquisite bottle, recommending only the best wines at great prices! Its charming and homely but the best part is definitely the food!
Every single mouthful I've eaten there was fantastic, perfectly balanced and bursting with freshness and flavour. From the soft beef strips lavishly smothered in a thick pepper cognac sauce to the not-so-humble margherita pizza with its perfectly doughy thin base, La Trinita will have you fighting over the last bite!
And guess what? The prices are UNBELIEVABLE for the high standard of food, service and ambiance that you'll get. If you love intimate, this is for you!
