We have been to Goederust for a wedding recently, and I can highly recommend their food! The starter was a pancake filled with carpaccio ham and brie topped with watercress and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. It was divine and the main dishes were so tasteful. Really good value for money!

In April 2011 we made a reservation for a large group of friends and their children at Goederust. The restaurant staff was very accommodating and had no problem offering us their a la carte menu despite the size of the group. Everyone commented on the good food and most people were disappointed that they had not known about the place earlier. We would like to congratulate the staff on a laid back, yet very professionally run restaurant. This is a rare find in Franschhoek where each restaurant tries to be more upmarket than the next - at this farm kitchen one can just have a good time.

We like our fine dining and have been to the Reubens and other before and decided to go to Franschhoek again this year for a special family occasion. Each morning of this weekend, we kept meeting the family at Goederust Farm Kitchen for coffee and then each one goes there own way for the day wine tasting etc. The next day we would meet for breakfast again at the Farm Kitchen. Best breakfast in town!!!
Sunday's breakfast with the family turned into a lunch while sitting in front of the fireplace the whole morning drinking sherry and coffee.

O my goodness. Probably the best lunch I have ever had in a restaurant. Just then realised that we have had a fabulous weekend and spend 80% of our time at Goederust. I was almost sorry that we spend the money on eating out at all the fine dining restaurants while all the time the best food was at the Farm Kitchen.

Thank you for your hospitality, excellent food and value for money. Most of all thank you for making us feel at home with warm elegant style, any time of the day.
