With a lot of restaurants in Pretoria area, there aren't many that is worth spending money at. The Hillside Tavern is different. At first glance you might underestimate it, but after each bite you can't help but smile. Probably one of the best meals I've had. Well impressed, would definitely recommend.
A night to remember

For a special occasion like my wife's and my birthday we decided to have a romantic night out to indulge in some fantastic wine and food. We decided on Hillside Tavern and we were definitely not disappointed. From the starters through the main course and finishing with the dessert every single dish was exquisite and mouth watering. My wife could not stop commenting on the fillet that melted in her mouth (Japtrap Fillet) and not to talk about the Creme Brulee, WOW. The highlight of the evening for myself (not taking anything away from the other dishes) was the wine, fantastic (Asara - Cab/Merlot 2007). Hillside Tavern made our celebration one to remember!
Hillside Tavern is now our restaurant of choice - can't wait for my next experience.
