Nice...

Had a lovely night, good food and excellent service! Tried both sushi (for the lady) and meat and they were both great!

To top it off, the drinks were fruity and well poored! :)

I have recently visited your restaurant purely based on the the fact that i like a nice deal - I will gladly share my experience with some of my friends to join.

Really nice!

Made a smooth reservation and the staff was really helpful and fast. The Sushi was of a great quality, fresh, nice ingredients and really tasteful. Really a recommendation!

What was not a recommendation was the so called Asian Fries for R22: normal fries with Asian hot-spies: not a good price quality ratio...

The strawberry moijto on the contrary was awesome! The prices were very good: with two people: 3 main sushi menus’ with both a moijto and water: R 130 a head, including a good tip!

Overall: a really exciting place to eat and I will be definitely be around again!

WAKAME

This is by far one of the best sushi restaurants in Cape Town..in addition to travelling the world including the far east, I grew up 30min outside of Manhattan NY and have been exposed to a bevy of excellent sushi restaurants and Wakame is a first-class establishment with reliably superior food and service. Menu is expensive, but worth every rand.

One of my Top 10 Cape Town Restaurants ... !!

Another 'must go to' restaurant ... the location is stunning on a beautiful day ... The sushi is guaranteed good and what I have enjoyed from the rest of the menu has always been good ... Like most restaurants the service depends on who your waitron is for the day, but generally speaking it has usually been good ...

On the second floor is 'Wafu' (?) .. I believe that they are related to one another ... This is a great place to sit outside on the decking and enjoy a drink or three ..!!

Go there ...

I can see the sea!

Wakame has one of the best views in Cape Town which makes it simply impossible to resist! Sitting at the table sipping a crispy buttery Chardonnay while you stare out at the crashing blue waves is guaranteed to relax even the most stressed out of people. The sushi and sashimi includes a combination of the classic califoria rolls and hand rolls as well as some different and exciting dishes which are sure to please your taste buds and if sushi isn't really your thing the menu also has a selection of other dishes to tempt you. Definitely a treat - especially when showing off to over seas guests or friends from out of town.
