I have been to Minato a few times and every time I go there I remember why I always say they have the BEST SUSHI in Cape Town. I recommend Minato to ALL my Sushi lover friends! Their special rolls is definitely the best!!

I don't think I will ever eat sushi anywhere else after having experienced this place. The spring rolls looked fabulous, a decent size and not oily at all. The service was quick, the wine was great - highly recommend the Rickety Bridge wines (both red & white) on their menu... with food prices that reasonable, I'm perfectly happy to support them by buying their wine. I had the Miso Soup to start which was yummy and refreshing, and then for my main course I had the Sweet Hot Kiss Rolls which were to DIE FOR!!! I am going back next week, and am going to make it a monthly thing!

I have been to Minato a few times and have to say that every time has been an experience - a taste explosion! Each time I go, I walk out staggering, having eaten too much. You definitely can spend a lot less than R95 per main course - I am a fan of the inside out hot hot rolls (tempura tuna, avo, cucumber, rice, nori with a hint of spice) and a plate of these will definitely fill you up! they are enormous (so much so that I can't fit a whole one into my mouth - and I am able to get 7 normal sized marshmallows in there!) So - price is absolutely no excuse - go for the experience and you'll find yourself drawn there again and again.
