This is the one restaurant that we always make a point of visiting in Hermanus. The location is great - you get the vibe of town, shade beneath the trees and umbrellas outdoors and view! There is almost always a queue (in peak season) - but it's worth the wait, and this past December we struck lucky with the 'best table in the house' with a stunning view overlooking the bay. I almost always order the calamari - which is grilled in a delicious spicy sauce and is perfectly paired with rice. Burgers and toasted sandwiches for hubby and the kids were also great. Service is efficient and attentive even when busy. This is not a 'cheap' meal - but it always remains a highlight of our visits to Hermanus.

When I go to Hermanus this is the one restaurant I know I will get good food and great service. Owner manager also hands on. Also fantastic location.

After watching the Southern Right Whale and her Calf, we had a great experience here. Mussels were fabulous and the lemon garlic sauce to accompany, my partner had the eggs benedict, very well presented, and a glass of the local sauvignon blanc, was the best. Thank You.

This must surely be the best location for a restaurant I have come across - it is pure bliss to sit in the garden overlooking the bay. The food it great - especially if you consider how reasonably the menu is priced. Surely the best spot in Hermanus!

Breakfast day one, hearty and good value for money. Coffee with cake the next day. I would assume from the quality the chef really enjoys his business. Service well experienced and views location like no other in the world...pull in...dogs also welcome...and the waiter sang me happy birthday in Xhosa.

The best view over the bay this week and lucky to see hundreds of dolphins swimming past while being treated to wonderful service and excellent food , looking forward to our next trip to Hermanus and The Burgundy. Well done!

It seems as if there has been a realy big improvement at the Burgundy restaurant. Breakfast was great, service very friendly and quick, and the coffee was fantastic. Well done Burgundy restaurant!!!
