On numerous occasions we walked past the restaurant and in most cases they were busy. We travelled to India a few years ago and enjoyed wonderful food - we were not too sure whether this would apply to Annapurna. Their food is absolutely delicious and the flavours amazing. As with genuine Indian food, spices are used to enhance the dishes and not necessarily curry (as with Durban curry). We will definitely be going again.

I have seen this restaurant for many years and always avoided it because I am not a person for hot spicy food. Me and my wife decided to give it a try because the restaurant looks like a piece of India placed in Tygervalley mall. The décor and ambiance is totally different to any other shop in the mall.
The food was delicious and to my surprise, not hot at all, but instead a wonderful taste experience. I will definitely go again.

I ate from platters made by this restaurant yesterday and as I result I plan to take my family!
The flavours and textures were astounding and the chicken was the most moist and flavourful I think I have ever eaten.
Hardly anything was chilli-hot: unexpected but deliberately ordered to be mild apparently. So it would suit any family.
The flavours were definitely worth seeking out.
I've walked past this restaurant many times and thought the food would be too hot and spicy - now I know otherwise so I'll be stopping! (I obviously can't rate the ambiance or service - yet.)

Have been eating at this restaurant on a regular basis and have not been disappointed once. The food is always of a high standard and extremely tasty.
I have tried the Lamb Vindaloo at various restaurants but theirs is unmatched in the Cape Town area.
I can recommend this restaurant to any person interested in having an Indian dish at a reasonable price.

This has become one of my most favourite restaurants for two years now. The spice and sauce combination with every dish is just phenomenal. Just the location is a bit sad but otherwise I would recommend this restaurant to everyone even if people are unfamiliar with Asian/Indian cuisine.

Had the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and a bottle of Kleine Zalze Chenin Blanc Tikka very nice, butter chicken sauce to die for - delicious dipped with the naan! Both mild, so was not burning at all - will try medium next time. Each comes with own portion of rice - so not necessary to order extra like other places.
The decor is beautiful - bearing tribute to Indian influences in a way that other places have neglected. Loved the pictures, the tapestries and the portrait. Someone should have guts to suggest to owner to have the lights softened, then the place will be wonderfully romantic!
