Indian Food is recognised through the use of spices and is commonly served with naan bread or poppadoms. Samoosas and rotis are excellent examples of the uniqueness of this style of food. Where Thai food is clean and uses chilli to cause a quick burn, Indian curries are denser, with a ground or earthy colour and texture. Turmeric, cumin and cinnamon are often used.
Where many other Asian restaurants may prepare dishes from various influences, Indian restaurants tend to specialise only in Indian food and are often no frills and family run offering an excellent food experience.
