Description: Santana situated on the Island of Madeira between the coastal towns of Porto da Cruz and Porta de S Jorge and opposite the capital Funchal is not only the home of unusual architecture but also the home of many culinary delights not least and including the famous Espetada. This tradition is carried over to the restaurant. The food is cooked in the traditional Portuguese way and you can expect generous helpings. Huge murals accurately drawn from photographs depict island life and coastal scenes together with traditional arts and crafts complete the illusion. All the meat, fish and vegetables are the highest quality possible for that melt in the mouth experience.
