Description: iL Tartufo Italian Restaurant is a newly opened Italian restaurant in Hyde Park offering a traditional menu with innovative twists.

We specialise in authentic Italian cuisine from the various regions of Italy. While we have our own ‘piatti forti’ we are also constantly seeking to broaden our culinary horizons and regularly invite top Italian Chefs to visit South Africa to prepare their speciality dishes.

Our Chef, Phillip Nothnagel, together with his kitchen staff intend to offer our clientele a fine dining experience that fits your busy lunchtime needs, and in the evening the lights dim down for a more intimate dinner or special occasion.

(Adventurousness: I wish i had married a celebrity chef!)

Comments: To start I tried a refreshing little salad which was beautifully presented, for mains I had a asparagus and sherry pasta which was so fresh and full of flavour, and for desert I tried their hazelnut ice cream which was the perfect topper to the overall meal. We also had a bottle of their local house wine which was well balanced with our meal and well priced too.
