Description: Located in a luxurious house in Kensington, Adega do Monge was founded in 1997, providing authentic colonial Portuguese Cuisine.

Adega do Monge has grown from strength to strength over the years due to our delicious menu which provides high quality Seafood dishes including Mozambican prawns, a variety of steaks, poultry and much more to choose from. The restaurant also offers freshly prepared Portuguese traditional dishes on a daily basis. The menu also provides a large selection of starters ranging from Portuguese to a traditional selection. Without a doubt our homemade desserts completes everyone�s meal.

Comments: This restaurant has been the highlight of my prawn dining experiences in South Africa every time. Not to be confused with the conveyor belt dining of a franchise with almost the same name - Adega de Monge is by far the restaurant with the best Portuguese food and good old fashioned service. I'm no food critic - I just love good food and service and people who deliver on that every time deserve praise and support. Even the neighbourhood is picking up - must be the smell of the food!

Comments: Well done ADEGA DO MONGE, we were at your restaurant for Mothers Day and Fathers Day, both for lunch. Well done to the new owners Lindy & Fernando Bartolo, you both are a superb team, and the food has most definitely improved since you took over. Really good to see young happy enthusiastic faces around. Obrigada
