Description: 33 High Street Restaurant and Pub is located in a 115 year old house in the historical precinct of Modderfontein, Johannesburg. This lovely country restaurant has a dining-room which can seat 40 guests and an enclosed veranda seating approximately 50 guests. The lush park-like gardens boasts a beautiful old oak tree, a neatly paved area, and benches for those guests who enjoy having a relaxed lunch outdoors. More benches and cheerful umbrellas sprawl onto the lawns, making it an ideal place for families with children to relax and play. This restaurant is perfect for corporate meetings, training sessions, small conferences, birthday parties, Christmas lunches and year-end functions, as well as good old fashioned intimate and cozy family get-togethers. Flavours are robust, portions are generous, ambience is great. The cuisine is mainly Portuguese / Mediterranean but special requests and more traditional fare can be catered for on special occasions such as parties and functions, etc. Although only 15 minutes from Sandton and 10 minutes from OR Tambo airport, the country setting and quiet surrounding fills you with tranquility - a perfect escape from the bustling city life. For the sporting fans, big screen TV’s are available in the bar, the garden and on the veranda. The restaurant also has a pub menu which is mainly served in the garden or the quaint and cosy cellar bar. The premises are access friendly to both the elderly and the disabled.
