Description:
Located in the small village of Parkhurst, you will find George's on 4th. Parkhurst is a quiet global suburb, surrounded by many antique and furniture stores. The restaurant has established itself as one of Johannesburg’s awe-inspiring deli samplings from New York and London.

The restaurant offers a unique approach to dining; combining upmarket finishes in a relaxed deli bar environment.Picture George's on 4th in Parkhurst, Northcliff/Rosebank, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa

The decor is sophisticated and appealing, with parquet floor, rich dark wood tables and chocolate plush upholstered chairs. Simple white plates, minimal settings, and a continental dining area, spilt out on to the pavement outside, complement these fine touches.

The menu is international, providing many creative and exciting dishes. You can enjoy a three course formal dinner in the evenings, a lunchtime treat with a variety of salads and sandwiches to choose from in the day, or just a quick cuppa in-between. Specialities include the "Turkey and Avo Sandwich", with crispy bacon, pressed turkey, crumbled blue cheese and fresh avocado, and for dinner you could discover the oven roasted fillet with a medley of mushrooms, and the delicious smoked salmon and dill pasta fettuccine, penne or spaghetti. Tempting desserts include the crème brulée, white chocolate tiramisu and chocolate walnut tart.

Please note - Bookings taken no later than 19:30.

Always have a great time, 08 Feb 2012
Reviewer: anonymous (Adventurousness: What is the chef's special today?)

Comments: The food is amazing and I love sitting on the deck during summer time. The location is perfect for hopping to the next spot. However and there is always a but...you need to book a table on a Saturday evening as it gets pretty busy. Love it none the less.
