Description: Adega Paulshof is under the new ownership of Eddie Abreu, originally from Portugal. Eddie has been with the Adega Group for the last three years, bringing his restaurant experience up to eight years. Eddie strongly believes in the Portuguese custom of nurturing relationships between families and friends over a tasty meal with superb wine and customer service being paramount. Portuguese fare is prepared with simple traditional ingredients, seafood fresh from the ocean and selections of spices and herbs from the kitchens. Starters include Ostras Frescas fresh, voluptuous oysters; there is always the challenge of who can eat the most. For those who prefer something a little less fishy, Trinchado strips of beef, marinated in a blend of fresh herbs, red wine, garlic and bay leaves, pan fried and served with crispy chips, is served as both starter and main courses. Prawns are the key to any successful Portuguese restaurant and Adega’s are exceptional. Their Tiger Giants are sweet and tasty, while the King prawns have a more savoury and meaty taste and texture, they are also extremely affordable. Specials are served during lunchtime Monday through to Sunday and during dinner on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings. A large selection of both South African and Portuguese wines are on offer. |
