Description: Due to the redevelopment of the Morningside Shopping Centre, Midori moved from this well known location to temporary premises in Grayston Drive. The good news is that it will be back in bigger and better premises in Morningside soon, so watch this space! Thanks to its reputation for serving some of the best sushi in Sandton, Midori has a big clientele in the northern suburbs who have continued to show their loyal support despite the move. The interior has the familiar rich red upholstery and furnishings and there is a large sheltered patio area which has provided additional seating on hectically busy days. A steady stream of sushi lovers has ensured that Midori's take away service has continued to be as popular as ever with friendly efficient service and super fresh fish being the key components. Popular items on the sushi menu are the Salmon Platters, the Rivonia Road Platter, handrolls and rainbow maki. Midori also offers a great selection of Chinese, Thai and Japanese dishes so there is something to suit all tastes. The most popular starter is definitely the crispy spring rolls which are available with a wide variety of delicioius fillings including prawn with sweet and sour sauce and chicken and coriander with sweet chilli sauce. Main course favourites from the Chinese menu are chicken chow mein, beef chop suey, and sweet and sour pork. Thai recommendations are the spicy chicken with vegetables and massaman beef curry. |
