Description:
Pascali’s was named after a dear friend, who was not only a true old fashioned Italian gentleman, but had a strong influence on the lives of the owners, Claude and Louise, who now run this establishment with the help of their daughter Noelleen. At Pascali’s Trattoria the menu is fresh and innovative, and the décor is modern, but unobtrusive. The staff are passionate about what they do and are not only efficient, friendly and knowledgeable, but also dedicated to making your dining experience memorable. The unhurried atmosphere is conducive to relaxed dining and with consistently good cooking, smooth service, a warm atmosphere and an interesting menu, makes Pascali’s feel like you don’t need to dress up and pay a fortune to enjoy a great evening out.

There’s an array of mouth-watering delights to choose from. Regulars come here to enjoy copious salads and special pasta dishes. Starter recommendations include the pasta frolla al camembert, and of course our heavenly home made breads served with our delicious pate. The thin-crusted pizzas are made in the wood-burning oven, as is our speciality leg of lamb. Our choice of pasta dishes includes the popular fetuccine alfredo, lasagne al forno, and the gnocchi with gorgonzola or pomodoro sauce. There are several good vegetarian options, such as the panzerotti agli spinacci with its creamy spinach and ricotta cheese filling, or the panzerotti zucca (pumpkin filled pasta).

Traditional Italian meat dishes include the rotollo di pollo (phyllo wrapped chicken breast rolled with spinach & feta and served with a berry sauce) and in particular the sensational veal specialities such as veal saltimbocca as well as escalopes of veal. Other specialities include heavenly baby calamari tubes which are very succulent and the traditional meals are enhanced with modern touches and accompaniments such as figs and camembert – with something to please all tastes.

The wine list, from a handful of estates, is relaxed offering many different choices to suit all pockets which complement the reasonably priced dishes on offer. Other Italian staples included, and don’t forget the likes of grappa, amaretto and lemoncello to wash down the coffee.

Best Italian on town! Seriously!, 15 Mar 2012
Reviewer: Ricardo Le Roux (Adventurousness: What is the chef's special today?)

Comments: Best bolognese in town! Seriously, if you're a spaghetti bolognese lover like me, you'll want to eat here on a weekly basis! A little expensive but well worth it! The food is always fresh, warm and delicious!! And the service is very friendly, it always feels like you're sitting own at you're mom's table awaiting your favourite food! Well done! You always keep me coming back for more and more and more of that delicious spaghetti bolognese!
