Villa san Giovanni is a proud Italian, family owned, restaurant that’s been in existence since 1981.

Started by founder, owner and chef, Giovanni Maiorana (having just arrived from Italy), he was then joined by sons Christian and Luca years later. It is unlikely that you will find another family owned restaurant with the persistence and commitment that’s been devoted to Villa San Giovanni over the years. It boasts an indulgent compilation of fine Italian cuisine with a classic rendering of Italian sophistication as well as a feeling of homely warmth.

The food is a celebration of predominantly southern Italian flavours, where homemade pasta is always the flavour of the day. From the lasagne to the gnocchi, cannelloni to individually made ravioli, you can be assured that all these speciality dishes are always freshly made in the kitchen under the watchful eye of Giovanni.

Our pizza is what we are famous for but, rest assured, our steaks and seafood are sourced from the best, ensuring a top quality product all year round.

What’s good food without good wine? Over the years we have made sure that both the wine and food are of an impeccable standard and we are proud to be part of the Diners Club Platinum Wine Award Winners boasting a wide range of South African, Italian and International wines.

Zambesi / Cullinan
Take the N4 Rustenburg toll-road off-ramp
Immediately after having gone through the toll-gate, take the Dr Swanepoel off-ramp left. At the t-junction turn left, away from the highway. At the 4-way stop turn right into Airport Road. Follow Airport Road through the suburb of Doornpoort. The road twists and turns, simply carry on until you reach the next t-junction. Turn left and follow the road until you reach the main gate of Wonderboom Airport.

Comments: My husband and I have visited Giovanni and Maria's restaurant at the Wonderboom airport on a regular basis since the 90's.I have been to Italy many a time and have eaten at many top of the list establishments but have not met a Chef more devoted to his fine craft in the culinary art as Giovanni.The freshest ingredients are used in every dish which stands out as a tastebud experience of Italian food hard to find elsewhere in the world.Giovanni is an artist in confectionary having been the first to introduce his famous Ice-cream cheesecake.My absolute best is Giovanni's baked Parmagianna dish with secret ingredients so heavenly that it transfers you to places far away from your everyday mundane life.Thanks Giovanni that you have made Pretoria a better place in giving us joy in the pleasure of dining at your beautiful restaurant.Kind regards to Maria.Angie and Manlio Passetti..Grazie!
