Surprise Date - Couldn't have picked a better place, 16 Jun 2009

Comments: I was taken on a surprise date for dinner this past Friday. What a wonderful dinner. The service, ambiance and general attentiveness was such a wonderful change from the norm in SA. The food was excellent and worth the prices. I realise that this is not an everyday venue, but is well worth it for a splurge.

I had the Crab Gratin, Duck Al'orange and the poached pear. My partner had the Soupe de Crabe, the linefish creole and the creme brulee. We could not fault anything. When asked to recommend a wine the waiter recommended a good wine, but did not immediately sell us the most expensive.

I couldn't have been taken to a better venue for a romantic culinary evening!
