The Lookout Deck Hout Bay arguably boasts one of the best views in the Western Cape. Situated on the water?s edge in the Hout Bay Harbour, the restaurant boasts breathtaking mountain and ocean views.

The entrance area of the restaurant has been tastefully designed to make you feel as though you have just come off the beach into your holiday house, with generous comfortable couches and solid wooden coffee tables, offset by the white paneled ceiling and wooden blinds.

The restaurant has been designed in such a way that diners can choose between the casual wooden deck area that seats around 260 people, with bench tables & attractive parasols plus outdoor heaters and large glass window panels, which provide additional comfort from the cool sea breezes; or the modern up market feel of the inside dining area, with comfortable upholstered chairs and well appointed tables with linen and overlays, the inside area seats around 60 people.

The restaurants extensive menu comprises of premier seafood, freshly caught line fish caught daily by the local fishermen, Cape Rock Lobster, succulent LM prawns, fresh black mussels picked from the rocks of the local shores, legendary tender calamari steaks, Yellow fin tuna steaks and live oysters, as well as the finest cuts of local A-grade meats. There is also a great selection of appetizing salads, lighter snack baskets for the not so hungry, wood fired pizzas and hearty breakfasts.

The Lookout Deck also has a comfortable bar area with high tables and stools, a large flat screen TV where all the sporting events can be viewed.
The fully licensed bar stocks a variety of local and international beers, including Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Stella Artois on tap. The wine list has been chosen to represent the different wine growing regions that surround the restaurant.

The restaurant is the ideal setting to enjoy sensational sundowners and cocktails whilst listening to local, live music on selected nights

You can relax without the waiters rushing you and all the food was fantastic, especially the prawns, tuna, kingklip, the desserts are good too...you can't go wrong. Give it a try! Overlooking the harbour, what more could you ask for?"

Good for Family eating

We ate here with our three children aged 12, 10 and 6. All thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the Moule Mariniere was THE most delicious I have ever tasted, and I have eaten a few!
