Description:
If you love perfectly-prepared, fresh fish or crave authentic, Cape seafood - The Pickled Fish is your kind of restaurant.

Best described as serving fresh ‘new Cape-style’ seafood, The Pickled Fish is justifiably proud of its signature Cape recipes (try the tangy Homemade Malay Pickled Fish with Farm Seed Bread) and dedication to quality and freshness. From the fish and crayfish to the herbs and vegetables, almost every ingredient is exceptionally fresh! And it’s mostly locally sourced and organic too. That’s why owners Rael and Graham have chosen to combine a small menu with an exciting range of daily specials featuring fresh, seasonal and sustainable seafood. You can also look forward to a few delicious deviations from tradition, such as the delectable Salt and Pepper Squid with Coriander Mayonnaise.

Influenced by an enviable mix of old and new, the atmosphere is stylish but unpretentious. The uneven walls and reed ceilings add a definite charm, while the white and aquamarine interior is clean, fresh and inviting!

The Pickled Fish is small and intimate, so it’s best to book. Or take your chances and enjoy a drink at the bar while you wait to be seated.
