Description:
Panchos is a great Mexican restaurant in LOWER Main Road Observatory. Helpings are large and delicious, the place is always full and ambiance is fun. The price isn't too bad either.
This is a relaxed restaurant which fits the theme and has an effect on the ambiance. Tables and decorations reflect this relaxed attitude, but the staff are actually remarkably good for this kind of restaurant. Note that there is a courtyard section and a large smoking section - booking ahead of time will give you some choice.
You can request your food spicy but in general the mild portions are very mild and can be eaten by most. There is a wide variety of choice and the food is great.
The frozen margaritas on offer are delicious and make for a really fun evening - to be recommended. They come in lemon, strawberry or a mix which is a great choice.

Best place in the world!!!, 02 Dec 2011
Reviewer: Elecia Young (Adventurousness: I can't pronounce it, but i'll eat it!)

Comments: 5 years back two of our friends introduced us to this restaurant. Now we have introduced more than 50 other couples. Pancho's have become an Reunion tradition for all our friends far away and a romantic getaway after a very busy month of grafting. This restaurant is SO down to earth, you get great value for money AND the food tastes FABULOUS! We know what were gonna eat and drink before we go! Usually we end up taking the mains home :-) We luv u Pancho's

Reviewer: kim martin (Adventurousness: I wish i had married a celebrity chef!)

Comments: On the 30th September my son asked us to take him to Panchos for his 18th birthday dinner. First time in all my life living in Cape Town that I have ever been to Panchos. All I can say is, wish I had heard about you sooner. Superb Food, Brilliant, Vibey atmosphere, Excellent service and Great value for money! One of Cape Town’s best kept secrets...I am even thinking about having my 40th here.
