In today's highly competitive environment, it is becoming increasingly difficult to differentiate one restaurant from another. Mama Tembo?s Cafe distinguishes itself by being the only restaurant that features authentic traditional African meals, a warm African ambience, various art & cultural initiatives and hospitality that embraces ?Mama?s Home? in a spectacular setting that enables patrons to enjoy the beauty of Table Mountain, a view of the cable car and Lion?s Head, hang gliders over the mountain slopes, as well as the Atlantic ocean!

We serve top quality organic meals, freshly made daily on the premises, along with unique signature dishes and sauces presented in our own African way. Our decadent dishes are prepared in full view of our customers to illustrate the love and care with which your food is prepared. The aroma of Mama?s slow-cooked soul food and flat breads freshly baked in our wood-fired pizza oven leaves our guests coming back for more!

As Mama believes ?the more, the merrier? and ?sharing is caring? Mama Tembo?s Caf� also offers a range of Ubuntu meals for large groups (20 or more, booking essential!). These consist of cost effective platters (for the discerning wallet, without compromising on value!) that showcase our unique selection of meat, venison and seafood dishes ? Mama?s ?shisa nyama? and ?fish-a-nyama? - served with traditional delicacies like phutu balls, pap and umngqusho. Exclusive to the Cape is also Mama?s whole braaied snoek with sweet potatoes!
