Restaurant description

A wonderful and exciting new venue Richard?s Supper Stage and Bistro has just opened on the corner of Glengariff and Main Road Sea Point, Cape Town. Owners, Richard Loring (producer of the internationally-acclaimed ?African Footprint?) and friend and business partner of many years, Roland Seidel have launched this exciting new dinner and show venue!

Richard?s offers their customers a wonderful cosmospolitan and cultural experience, unique to Cape Town. Customers can enjoy tasty breakfasts of muffins, freshly-baked French croissants, organic eggs and fresh Cape fruit; or late night feasts of prawns, succulent steaks, Mediterranean dishes and home-made ice cream either on the open deck or in the colourful Bo-Kaap style Bistro.

Our Bar is decorated with memorabilia from Richard Loring?s 50 years in musical theatre, television, records, movies and cabaret. This stylish late-night bar favoured by post-show patrons and personalities, gives you a peak behind the scenes of the world of show biz.

Upstairs international and local guests of all ages will be transported into the world of entertainment, featuring talented artists performing in a variety of shows from cabaret to jazz to comedy. With a view of Robben Island through the large picture windows and seated at sociable dinner tables, enjoy Cape wines and an exclusive scrumptious Cape Buffet.

The show celebrates the triumphs and despair of an exuberant melting pot, a community thriving beyond adversity. With rampant humour unique to Cape Town, intoxicating rhythm and soulful song we trace the story, of a community that can only be described as the original Rainbow Nation?.
