Don't miss out!, 16 Jan 2012
Reviewer: anonymous (Adventurousness: What is the chef's special today?)

Comments: I can't stress enough just how good this restaurant is. From the moment you walk into the door the authentic French brasserie vibe almost bowls you over before you're whisked away by a friendly waiter to one of the pristine (yet unpretentious) tables with white overlays. With just a glance at the menu your mouth begins to water with dishes such as citrus marinated olives, free range chicken liver parfait, fillet au poivre, beer battered hake and the famous mushroom risotto.

A long marble and wooden bar runs along the side of the restaurant and you have the option of sitting at the granite topped kitchen counter to watch the masterful chefs in action. When the food arrives you may not be blown away by the presentation, but it's not about that. It's about wholesome flavour and Societi Brasserie does NOT disappoint.

Couple the brilliant food (probably some of the best in the city) with a great wine and you have the perfect night out. I think I may never cook at home again... Dare I say, favourite restaurant in Cape Town?
