Description: Situated at the corner of Schoeman and Burger Streets in the centre of De Rust. The Plough is owned by Bill and Christina Martin. Christina is internationally known as Chef de Cuisine. Her School of Food and Wine was voted in the top three worldwide in 2002. Christina specializes in South African cuisine in her new restaurant, making use of seasonal and organic produce wherever possible. She buys the best Karoo lamb and her steaks don?t need steak knives. Ostrich cappaccio, Bobotie with homemade blatyang are some of the starters. Ostrich fillet with Port and plum sauce, Oxtail Jardinière are hot favorites. Desserts and cakes a plenty are all simply delicious.
