ELL is an ethical eatery focusing on healthy, nutritious, fresh and local produce with origin and ethical sustainability as the guideline to creating culinary delights.

We all know the saying: "You are what you eat" By supplying food that has been ethically sourced, ELL will encourage patrons to be aware of what they eat, how the food was cultivated, fed and treated as well as brought to the table to be consumed as culinary delights. We all love to eat, but in order to live life to the fullest, it is essential to create balance and to respect life in all it's forms.

ELL is situated on the R320 en route from Hermanus to Caledon on the beautiful wine farm, Spookfontein in the upper Hemel-en Aarde Valley that produces organic single vineyard wines of destinction, in character with the whole vision of an organic, ethically sustainable eatery.
Winemaker, Craig Sheard believes in allowing nature to take her course and only to steer the vines, as well as the grapes gently in the right direction, in order to produces timeless wines that emphasize the memory of a summer in a bottle.

The magnificent modern and artistic cellar, designed by architect DJ Carr of Ghost Fountain Designs with interior décor designed by his partner Wilna, situated on top of the mountain in-between the natural fynbos, overlooking the vineyards, boasts awe inspiring views over the valley, the Babylonstoren mountains and the sea. This must certainly be one of the best spots to enjoy the sun setting in the West towards Hangklip.

The eatery offers a relaxed, inviting atmosphere and ambience to visitors and encourage patrons to join on the magical journey of ethical eating.
