Description: Hermanus has recently obtained a new little treasure in the form of a new “must try” restaurant, Tapas Food and Wine Bar. New chef Cobus Pretorius has only recently taken over the kitchen and already those in the know are calling Tapas “The place for good food and prices”. Although relatively young, Cobus has been in the industry for over thirteen years already and his passion for food which started at childhood is evident in every mouth watering bite. Although their main focus is on serving Mediterranean tapas dishes at around R25 each (which are served with freshly home-baked breads) the menu also includes enormous home-made burgers, pastas, fish, paella and more! Hours just melt away as you sit drinking locally produced wines on the beautiful outside deck nibbling at various tapas dishes. On most weekend nights they have chilled live music to add to the already relaxed atmosphere. With winter on our doorstep, Cobus makes delicious aromatic soups which can be enjoyed by a roaring fire in the restaurant – at just R20 each!
