East Head Caf� is more than just a caf� or coffee shop, it is a local Landmark where family and friends have a good time with good food and casual wine enjoying life. Situated on the rocks of the famous Eastern Head, East Head Caf� has the most spectacular view - looking directly through the Knysna Heads.

Whether you are seated inside or outside on the terrace, it is the perfect setting to enjoy lazy breakfasts, alfresco lunches or the best cocktails in Knysna. The first visitors to East Head Caf� were the Koisan people thousands of years ago. They settled on the Eastern Shore of the Knysna Heads and enjoyed fine seafood meals at the site next to which East Head Caf� is situated. An exposed midden on the terrace lays proof to the fact that the best location in Knysna has always been at East Head Caf�.

Read more "No better view of the deadly channel through the famous Knysna Heads than from this eatery. Breakfast is my time, with a menu that makes the meal exciting and different. If you miss breakfast, the lunches are equally superb. Blankets are supplied if its chilly outside and the kids enjoy the play area. Unfortunately you may have to queue to get into a parking spot and then to get a table. This has been true for so many years it proves that the East Head Cafe's winning formula has been recommended by so many to so many and us locals go back again and again"
