This unique South African franchise was inspired by South African Wines as well as the charm of the Cape and Boland. Our cellars reflex this influence in the variety of Cape and Boland wines that we stock.

The decor at the De Kelder restaurant are thoroughly indigenous as everything was locally designed and manufactured. Top wine estates display their wines in stylish back-lit cabinets with various pictures of the wine estates in the back ground. Every restaurant boasts a stylish bar as well as a big screen for watching sport events.

The food is a celebration of the Cape?s cosmopolitan influences. An extensive a la carte menu caters for everyone?s needs as well as the set menus for large groups (i.e. office functions). The Deep-Fried Camembert starter is crusted with sesame and poppy seeds, giving a new twist to this popular dish. All the meat lovers can sink their teeth into one of the Cape?s best Chateaubriand steaks.

Comments: Was at De kelder for dinner with my wife and some friends & after trying a numerous amount of restaurants around the cape De kelder turns out tops without doubt. The service we received from our waiter Devan, was outstanding. We later moved to the bar area for some after dinner drinks & that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. I had a chance to have a chat to the executive chef, Xavier (hope I got his name right) who totally amazed me with his knowledge of food as well as friendliness. A very particular & neat little chap which definitely reflects in the meals that we received. A big thank you to the team at De Kelder Paarl we will definitely be back.
