Description: At Hook Line and Sinker, the atmosphere is as important as the food. First time visitors quickly become friends and there's always a piece of wall (or ceiling!) and a marker pen available to write a few words about your experiences with us. Casual and relaxed, we chalk the day's menu on the blackboard over the kitchen area. You can be certain that whether you choose a seafood or a steak evening, that your meal is as fresh as we can buy it from our own wet fish shop, or local markets. We cook over an open wood fire and serve with a choice of home made sauces or salsas. Add freshly baked bread, salad and a choice of rice or chips and you've got the recipe for a memorable meal - one to bring you back again and again! Size and our insistence on only the freshest ingredients prohibit us from offering a large menu. However, specialities like oysters, crayfish and perlemoen may be available in season. If you want to enjoy these delicacies, please ask when booking - if we have them, they are yours for the asking (and a few extra Rand of course)! Hook Line and Sinker seats twenty six diners on a typical evening and thirty for a special function. This limited number of seats allow us to spend time with each and every guest and ensure their visit is as enjoyable as possible. For this reason, we also only host one sitting for lunch and one for dinner. Places are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and we regret that we cannot accommodate walk-in customers.
