Take N2 from Cape Town International Airport; take exit No.43: Broadway Boulevard to Somerset West, at top of ramp take left turn at traffic lights towards Stellenbosch/Somerset West; approximately 1 km later, take right turn at traffic lights to Somerset West (NH Lord Charles Hotel is on your left); at the fourth set of traffic lights (approx. 1.5 km) take left turn into Lourensford Road; proceed 3.5 km on Lourensford Road to the Vergelegen sign on the cream wall on the right side of the road. Turn right onto the estate.

Comments: With an amazing view of the lawn and country setting of the Vergelen estate it was a welcome break to enjoy a morning tea and snack.

Scones were hot served with butter , strawberry jam and cream.
Chicken baguette portion was beyond expectation.

Drinks , milkshake and Tea were as expected.

Amazing day can be spend on the Estate with wine tasting, playing with kids on the massive lawns or enjoying a the 400 year old tree. This can be round off with a good lunch , morning or afternoon tea.
