Description: Caf� Dijon is the result of the du Plessis family's extended stay in France from which they brought back the best of everything that they saw to create this French gem back home.

Caf� Dijon serves classic French Country food to satisfied locals and tourists alike. The long leather banquettes, small square tables and bentwood chairs make for a cosy and intimate atmosphere while the long, curved marble-topped bar, mosaic floor, mirrors and 30's art prints add to the French caf� theme.

(Adventurousness: What is the chef's special today?)

Comments: Having purchased Groupon vouchers for a 400g sirloin steak the week before, we made our first visit there (although we are residents of Stellenbosch, Caf� Dijon had not appealed to us before)... Guys had the steak special and went into raptures about it! Girls had the Norwegian salmon which was done to perfection. The cherry on the top was being able to have a single scoop of Lecca il Gelata ice-cream for only R10 each - perfect end to a great meal. Atmosphere is somewhat lacking and waitering is uninspiring.
