Description: The Delaire Graff Restaurant offers approachable fine food with fresh and vibrant flavours. Guests are able to dine on the terrace under a canopy of pin oak trees or within the spectacular interiors whilst enjoying the breathtaking views Delaire allows of the Stellenbosch Valley and Mountains. The restaurant, headed by executive Chef Christiaan Campbell, has created accessible and approachable fine cuisine with fresh and robust flavours. The lunch menu is light and vibrant in keeping with many of the dishes being baked or roasted in wood fired ovens. The evening menu shows great delicacy and elegance in its presentation and tastes, without departing from signature bold flavours. Guests are able to dine on the terrace under a canopy of pin oak trees, or within the spectacular interior whilst enjoying the breathtaking views of the Stellenbosch valley and mountains. The dishes on the menu will change regularly, using the best ingredients available on the day. The estate's herb and vegetable gardens, along with local fresh seafood suppliers, artisan cheeses, poultry and meat producers, will supply the kitchens. The signature dishes include: Pickled Beetroot Carpaccio with goat's cheese fritters; Crayfish Lasagne with king oyster mushrooms; Pistachio Nougat served with rose geranium ice cream. Delaire wines are perfectly matched to compliment Christiaan Campbell's vibrant cuisine, and guests can sample the full range of wines in the stunning Tasting Lounge, or enjoy a special food and wine paired tasting. At stop turn left towards Stellenbosch and follow the road past Spier until you reach a T-junction. At the T-junction turn right towards Stellenbosch and follow the road pass Distell. Continue past Stellenbosch Station – stay in left lane. At the traffic lights turn left onto R44/Paarl. Cross over next traffic light, at next set of traffic lights turn right, into Merriman Lane. Continue up Merriman until traffic circle. Turn left at circle into Cluver Road. Pass over first set of traffic light, and 2nd set, turn right on the Helshoogte Pass- the Fire station on left hand side. Continue up the pass for approximately 7km. Delaire Graff Estate will on your right hand side. Turn right into Delaire Graff Estate gates and follow the directions to the parking. FROM: Cape Town via N1: Take the N1 towards Paarl/Stellenbosch. Take the Stellenbosch off ramp (R304), after the N1 Engen Garage. At the STOP turn right towards Stellenbosch. Follow the road for approximately 15kms to Stellenbosch. At the traffic lights (Stellenbosch Motors Garage on your right and Friendly Grocer on the left), turn left onto the R44. At the next traffic lights, turn right onto the Helshoogte Road (R310). Follow road, cross over next set of traffic lights (Idas Valley left and Shopping Centre on right) – you are now on the Helshoogte Pass. Continue up the pass for approximately 7km. Delaire Graff Estate will on your right hand side. Turn right into Delaire Graff Estate gates and follow the directions to the parking. |
