Restaurant description

At Prima Pizza we are passionate about the ingredients which we use. We only source from suppliers who share our enthusiasm for freshness and quality and they deliver every day to ensure that our pizzas are always the best and tastiest available in Stellenbosch!

Our pizzas are cooked in a wood fired oven at 400 degrees centigrade. This ensures that our pizzas cook quickly, our bases are always light and crisp and our toppings fresh and full of flavour.

At Prima Pizza, preserving the environment is something we are also passionate about. For us, social responsibility is just as important as profitability. Our pizza ovens only burn wood from alien trees and tree prunings thus helping to eradicate invasive species and promote the health and regeneration of indigenous trees.

Our Wood Fired Pizza Ovens create a minimal carbon footprint compared to electric or gas pizza ovens Wherever possible we source our fresh produce from local suppliers who share our passion for quality and ecologically sound, sustainable farming practices. Our pizza boxes are manufactured from recycled paper materials and, due to our strict stock control, our waste output is minimal.Even our hot water is generated from waste heat recycled from our wood fired oven.

We are fully licensed and carry a good range of beers, ciders and wines. We also sell fresh espresso coffee.
