Description: The history of Pizzeria Bella Venezia Pizzeria Bella Venezia was started in Strand in July 1982 by Andrew and Marita Sinclair after their 5 year stay in Italy where Andrew taught the Italians to play rugby and they taught Andrew to make his now famous handcrafted pizzas. The success of Bella Venezia is based on its family values and atmosphere, which has seen toddlers of 25 years ago now dining as adults at Bella Venezia with their own family and friends. Certain local patrons have also created their own pizzas which have found their way onto the menu such as "Jan Piek's Special", "Hugh's Special" and "Charlie's Special". Marita has also created many of the famous Bella Venezia dishes not least of which is her bean soup which is enjoyed by patrons with relish, even in the summer! |
