Description:
The restaurant at Bainskloof Corner Lodge is run by Linda Trautmann. Linda received her culinary training at internationally acclaimed Silwood Kitchens where she was awarded a Grande Diploma for Cor Don Bleau cookery in 2002. After working in Cape Town in managerial and head chef positions, she moved out into the country to build her business in 2007.
Linda's menu is heart warming soul food, perfect for the country environment. Her gourmet touch brings elegance and decadence to simple delicious dishes.
The Lodge is placed in the heart of the 102 000 ha Boland Mountain Complex World Heritage Site. Relax and soak in the view of the surrounding mountains and winding Witte River from the wooden decks of the restaurant and bar area.

Feel welcomed by Hassan your host. Put your feet up and enjoy delicious home-made gourmet food complimented by renowned local wines.

Lamb Neck slow cooked to perfection in red wine sauce over a fire. Served with steamed Basmati rice, sauteed broccoli and fine green beans, Pumkin and carrots in a thyme and honey sauce.

Directions
From Cape Town:
Head out of Cape Town on the N1. Take the Stellenbosch/ Klapmuts/ Wellington turn-off. Take a left onto the R44. Follow this road into Wellington main street (Champagne Road).
At the T-Junction turn left into Piet Retief Road. Heading down the hill at the traffic light turn right into Kerk Straat / Church Street. At this traffic light you will see the church on your left. Once turning right into Kerk Straat / Church Street, follow this road through the town, it will take you up the mountain into the Bainskloof Pass. Bainskloof Corner Lodge can be found on the right, at the top of the Pass,at the Eerst Toll/ First Toll, just after the Bainskloof Trading post. Look out for our sign on the right hand side of the road. About 20 minutes travelling time from Wellington.

From Ceres:
Follow the R303 from Ceres. Take a left crossing over the Breede River - follow signs to Bainskloof Pass on the R303, which eventually becomes the R301 +/- 16km you will find the Bainskloof Corner Lodge on your left.
