Went there with a friend of mine and we were both taken aback by the great service. The waitresses are extremely friendly, professional and alert. They went the extra mile for me as they accommodated for my food preference (puréed Thai soup,zero solids)...the chef came to me personally and promised to whip something up...and that she did.
Their menu has such variety, it is definitely on my must-do-again list.

We are regulars at this fine Thai Restaurant.After having lived in Cape Town for a decade and being an ardent Thai food Fanatic, I battled to find a good Thai place in Durbs?until I found Kung Thai. The food is always consistent, delicious and very authentic. Starters, mains and dessert are amazing. I am so impressed and will definitely recommend this lovely place to all.

Certainly the finest Thai restaurant in the country! Great consistency, freshest ingredients and exceptionally attentive service (Cindy and Sue in particular). The green curry with beef, Thai fried noodles with cashew nuts and beef, the crispy fried chicken and the Thai-style crab are our favourites. Lovely wine selection - very moderately priced. Kung Thai should have a Michelin star!

Lovely little restaurant. Not too fancy or pretentious - just cute and comfortable! Shared an array of tasty starters with friends - especially love the little rice-paper wraps and dipping sauces. For mains we all tried each other's food which ranged from honey-glazed duck to vegetarian wok dishes to Thai chicken curry. It was all delicious and wholesome! I love their use of unusual, fresh ingredients and the balance of rich food and healthy. Yum!

Best crispy duck I have had anywhere including in Thailand. I had the honey and sesame glaze with jasmine rice. It was outstanding.

Visited Kung Thai AGAIN on 9th Aug 2011, somehow the food just gets better and better with every visit! Highly recommend Phad Thai / Massaman Curry / Thai Green / Thai Red Curry / Any Duck Dish and of course the Garden Beach Salad! AMAZING! I wont eat Thai anywhere else, thanks guys!

The duck with the red sauce - I think it was Eu Che Duck and was truly superb. We have been back since and it was excellent. This restaurant was recommended to me and lived up to all expectations.

I have just had a meal at KUNG THAI, I was blown away by the flavours of my meal. It was the most authentic Thai restaurant I have ever been to outside of Thailand. My meal of grated green papaya (som tam malakaw) starter & khai lahu mains was so so good. I would recommend it to anyone.
