Best bagels I've ever had-not heavy, but satisfying. Lots of different fillings for the bagels. Nice atmosphere though it fills up with diners on the weekends. You want traditional Jewish specialties? Pastrami on rye, brisket on rye, chicken soup with kneidl or perogen, latkes, various herrings, blintzes, shwarma platters, gefilte fish. Go to the deli counters and choose from chopped herring, kosher pickles, various salads, bagel chips, and sometimes, honey cake. Also, this is a good place to sample items unique to the South African Jews, like mock crayfish, Danish herring, curried fish balls, and classic Litvishe teiglach and kichel. Check it out!
