Browns just seems to get better. Still the same old farm house but it looks brighter. The new chef has improved their food since I was there last year. Tried his Trio of Ostrich and it was delicious. The lunch special made it even better.

I recently had dinner at Browns in Rivonia and really thought that it was very good. I have heard good and average reports about the place but I can only say positive things about the place. From the service to the food, wine and setting; it was all excellent. The duck was very good.

We had Christmas Lunch at Browns yesterday and all I can say is that it was the best Christmas lunch I have ever had. The food, service and vibe were all very special.

What a wonderful place. Even though it was not that busy, I just loved the indoor/ outdoor feel and ambience. It is a place where one can relax and enjoy a lovely evening.

The service staff were polite, knowledgeable and efficient. One of those places where you are not aware of the service as it blends into the evening.

Loved, the food that the chef, Tshepo, presented. When last has the chef carried your food to your table? I nice touch. I started with the calamari steak which was excellent with a chunky salsa. Then, I had the Ostrich medallions as my main course - sublime.

I didn't have dessert but opted for a whisky and cigar with the guys. The range of whiskies is quite different - some very rare (and expensive) whiskies on offer. The Old Pulteney 21 year old is just devine.

We'll definitely be back soon.

I love the Browns experience - been there on three occasions in the past four months. It is a great place to take clients as it offers something for everybody. The wine list is very comprehensive; with additional options in the Cellar. The thing I love most is the service; with waiters that are neat in appearance and the service is some of the best I've experienced.

The food is excellent. I love the beef fillet and other items on the menu are also really good. The freshly baked bread they serve has a great taste and is a good way to start the meal. I would definitely recommend Browns to anybody.

Haven't been there for some time and how they have improved. The quality is back where it used to be. The Neptune's Fork is a seafood delight - a great combo dish. The wines are as good as ever - we had a five year old Chardonnay, it was fantastic.

We just had our company Christmas Dinner at Browns and I was very impressed. The whole place looks very classy with crisp white linen on the tables, an extensive wine collection and very good service. I had the grilled calamari starter - divine. The lamb shank for my main course - incredible. The cake of the day - yum. It was a great evening after a long, hard year at work. Thanks Browns!

This is THE spot in Rivonia. It is hidden away in the back of Rivonia but has this amazing garden with large trees and koi ponds. I had a excellent tuna steak there and the wines are amazing. Love it.

We had a fantastic year end lunch function at Browns yesterday. All perfect: food, service and location.

Six of us went last night for the Saturday Dinner & Dance evening. What an awesome time we had. The singers name is Ruth and she has such a versatile voice - amazing. We even put in requests - it was really fun.

The food was excellent. I hadn't been there for some time and the food was better than what I remember. The lamb shank just fell of the bone and the flavours were rich and saucy.

I finished with the Cake of the Day and that was just heaven - it is made by the Indulge bakery next door. It was a rich, chocolate mousse cake - just stunning.

Luckily there was the dancing for exercise; otherwise I would have felt guilty...

We had such a lovely evening at Browns last week. The Owner from Zandvliet Wine Estate was there. He did a 'fish braai' - actually it was whole, fresh Scottish Salmon. I have never seen such big Salmon before. The food was delicious but, my potatoes were a little underdone. The four course meal was paired with different Zandvliet wines with very entertaining talks in between about the farm and wines. The service was top notch and the setting; in the Wine Cellar, was excellent.

What a lovely wedding at Browns yesterday. It was excellent. From the garden setting for the wedding ceremony through to the dinner and dancing was fantastic. The food and wine flowed and it was just such a memorable occasion. Well done to the management and staff at Browns!

Had a business lunch there and it was great. The restaurant was quite quiet which suited us for our lunch meeting.

From the time we walked in, we were looked after by the staff and enjoyed seamless service while we had an amazing lunch. The lamb shank just fell off the bone. We had some red wine which was quite old 2002 and the combination was one of the best I have ever tasted.

Finished the meal with a fantastic Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix - I've been looking for it everywhere.

The garden setting made for a relaxed and fruitful meeting and was enjoyed by all.

This was my first visit to Browns. I have heard a lot about it from colleagues and friends and I must say that it is quite unique. I found it to be a mix of old and new. The food was good, somewhat old style but, very well presented and executed. I tried the grilled venison (wildebeest) and loved it. The meal was accentuated by great wine. The Wine Cellar tour is a must. They have an amazing selection which is very interesting - household names and unknowns alike. The Eagles Nest Shiraz was a great match with my food. I did not know this wine but, it was recommended by the wine steward and what a good choice. It has great balance and a bit of spice. The service was friendly and attentive. I felt relaxed and really enjoyed the experience.

I hadn't been to Browns for some time but we had a business dinner there last week and I must give them credit - they are making good food at the moment. I had the salmon salad to start and then Eric's Prawns - they were both excellent.
The Wine Sommilier, Ziyanda, was very helpful and as always the cellar had some interesting wines.

What a lovely lunch. I had the Wildebeest Fillet - it was like running a knife through butter. Quite gamey but delicious. The service and atmosphere were great. The gardens and running water falls were quite relaxing and special.
