Last night I dined with a group of family and friends. 5 of us opted for the vegetarian dishes and we left it to our gorgeous hostess Prim Reddy. All the dishes are prepared on order so be prepared to wait. Suggest you get a good starter for the table. The dishes are authentic. I felt I was in India. Highly recommended.

Last night was our first try at Indian cuisine so naturally we were a bit unsure of what was in store for us. To our surprise the vibe at Indian Chapter was great, the atmosphere was warm and the staff were very friendly and inviting. We absolutely loved the presence of the owner and the belly dancer was a fun surprise. To top it all off, the food was out of this world. The portions were generous, the different spices and tastes were beautiful.

I would recommend Indian Chapter to anybody who is curious to try something new or even if you are already familiar with Indian cuisine, this place will take it to the next level. Thank you for educating us and making it such a memorable evening.

We used to go to this restaurant when it was under its previous management and it was OK. Under the new owners it has been transformed and the food quality and taste is now excellent. I live in the UK for most of the year where there is a plethora of Indian restaurants and a good percentage of good ones. Indian Chapter would still qualify in that range compared to them.

This restaurant has gone from strength to strength under Prim's leadership. This is attested to by the growth in customers. It is sometimes hard to get a table it is so full...so best to book beforehand.

You have to admire Prim as she takes customers comments as a chance to improve both the food and restaurant and not as another moaning customer. Hence there is air of continuous improvement which is great to see.

We have been using Passage to India as a regular gathering place for Sales meetings and customer entertainment for the past few years. The difference since Prim has taking over has been astounding. The entire ambiance, vibe and friendly nature of the venue has improved for the better, while maintaining the superb quality of the food. At 1st there was a fear that we would see dramatic price increases to match the investments, but Prim has been loyal to her patrons and the venue remains a favourite, one of excellence on all fronts including value for money- with a very special personal touch from the owner.

We have been to restaurant 4 times now and yesterday we went for Mothers day. The food was unbelievable, the service was fantastic and Prim organised the Cape Minstrels for everyone. She sat with us and really topped off a great day. We will be back again and again.

My husband and I had dinner here to celebrate my birthday. The food and service was top notch. We highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly return. The owner even took a personal interest in my birthday and spoiled me with a special treat. What a nice touch.

Great food - value for money and such a tasty menu. The fabulous owner Prim Reddy really is the front of this business and she?s hands on daily with her business. Always welcoming and ready to please those taste buds with an exquisite array of Indian food. The Chicken Biryanni is my FAVOURITE As a take-away the single portion feeds two comfortably. BUT BOOK as the place is humming 7 days a week. Two weeks ago we had a 1 hour wait but it was a pleasure as the great food is in high demand. It was well worth the wait.

Genuine Indian food. Very nice and quick staff. Small but tidy restaurant. Not really the ideal place for a romantic date but definitely the best quality price ratio I have found in Cape Town so far.

My wife and I found this Passage to India one day and decided to go in. WOW, where we impressed. We usually don't invite the mother in law to any of our restaurants cause she is really fussy (about food, service everything). But here we made an exception. She was so impressed that almost every time they come visit we go there again. The new owner really made the place beautiful with new decor on the tables as well as in the restrooms. The food is to die for. I sometimes miss it throughout the week so I even place takeaway orders with them. Thanks Passage to India for the wonderful dining experience.

Once you've traveled and eaten the authentic cuisine abroad, local can often disappoint, but this is as real as it gets, absolutely authentic! Not quite Indian prices though.
