I was visiting Cape Town for a conference and this turned out to be my local restobar. I went there one night to meet a friend who didn't show and was taken care of my the staff in a way that was truly memorable. My waitress, whose name began with a T (sorry I cannot remember!), recommended a delicious entree and made me feel well looked after. Between her attentiveness, the food quality, and the very reasonable prices, I would make this my regular establishment if I lived in Cape Town. There are other more posh places, but those feel far less hospitable.

We were a table of twelve people. We were given the semi-private separate room. Despite the somewhat chaotic group, the waitresses were completely accommodating and disarmingly friendly without being obsequious. The food was outstanding - interesting dishes and ingredients, beautifully prepared and presented, and decent helpings. Jackal and Hide is a real find.

Me and my partner had the pleasure of eating at the Jackal&Hide on Thursday. I would just like to say how superb the service and food was…a culinary treat. The most incredible live music which I believe happens every Thursday. Thanks a million Jackal&Hide I will most certainly be coming back soon.

An absolutely wonderful dining experience. Friendly, helpful, charming and knowledgeable staff. A lovely relaxed atmosphere, no rushing for us to order as we went through the menu a few times before eventually deciding on a starter to share and then selecting our main courses. Value for money + a great setting topped by fantastic food - we will definitely be back for more.

What a treat!! Everything from our friendly welcome to our dessert was fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed, the waitress efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. The best part was the food. Hats off to the chef what a taste sensation leaving me wanting to come back to taste his other dishes.

We've just visited the Jackal and Hide and what an absolute taste experience! My compliments to the chef. Each dish, right through to dessert is an exploration of tastes and textures. One of the few chefs I would actually trust with choice of food as well as wine. A real must if you are into a bit of fine dining. Ambiance is great and service was excellent. Truly great value for money. If I would have to give a rating to the chef alone out of 10, he would get at least a 15! Well done!

Jackal and Hide was a pleasant surprise. With few reviews available I did not know what to expect. The Chef did an excellent job of creating a food sensation by a delightful blend of ingredients which left you surprised and wanting to know what was in it. Creativeness was top and service was excellent.
