Cheyne's kept popping up in conversation - and everyone had rave reviews - so my husband and I decided to try it out for ourselves. And, WOW, it was amazing. It's a tapas style restaurant serving Asian inspired type dishes- but as the waitress explained - the portions are bigger than your average tapas portion. My husband and I ordered 8 x dishes between the two of us (there is a special of R250 per person for 4 dishes). We used 7 of our dishes as our main meal, and saved 1 for dessert. We left feeling completely satisfied, but without the feeling of having overeaten. Every single mouthful of each of the dishes we ordered was sublime. The presentation was fantastic, and the service was very friendly and efficient. The chilli sea salt squid was the best calamari I have ever tasted, and the baby ribs, pork belly and spiced lamb cutlets were also real highlights. All in all, one of the best meals we have had in a while. We will definitely be back.

I'm very impressed with the improvement in the service and renovation in the space and the plating is amazing. It looks like master chef professionals and I love the plates. I think that the best thing is the service there and the coconut ice that you get with your bill.
