This very successfull railway station conversion is such a festive place. While staying just outside Hoedspruit for a weekend from Johannesburg, my partner and I decided not to cook alot everyday. After looking on the net at a number of restaurants Sleepers was the only one that would send me their menu via email. After going through the menu it was decided to try it out. The atmosphere was very casual, lots of guests in and out and a fantastic refurbish of the old station, even with trains still passing by. The steak ordered was probably the most tender steak I have had for years I thought you can't find them anymore (bought from Almadre butchery Nelspruit). Maja the manageress come one of the shareholders was very hospitable and interesting to listen to. I would recommend this restaurant any time. Best chilli sauce at R30-00 a jar.
