Took our Mums for dinner last Saturday. An absolute delight dining at China Plate. Good food and value for money. More than generous portions which can be shared. Staff are pleasant and very helpful. Good atmosphere for the entire family. Will definitely visit again.

After my GPS has let us to so many Chinese restaurants which were completely not up to standards, I finally decided that this website is the only option! And it was absolutely divine! The food, the service...everything is great! Definitely the best we have tasted of Chinese food! Going back again tomorrow before the holiday ends!

Everything was very yummy, from starters to the yummy-deep-fried-ice-cream! Mains – very, very tasty, we went with waiters recommendations. Was a very good choice all-around. Service was good & ambiance simple but great. Definitely coming back for more…of everything!

We have tried many Chinese take outs and restaurants, but keep coming back time and again to the China Plate. Each time family from overseas visit, the head off to the China Plate. Owner and Staff always pleasant, and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. To the Kitchen staff as well, they do a wonderful job, with the food preparation and presentation.

Had a fantastic meal at this restaurant - 5 of us visited and the set meal menu caught our eye - all under R100 for about 5 courses. The portions were generous even though we were warned that it would be small. Apparently the Al la carte would have been better (so said the owner) but we enjoyed what we ordered. The only ' criticism' would be the sweet and sour dishes were too heavy on the batter and sauce in both the fish and pork.

The ambience and service were excellent. The waiting staff and owners took time to chat to us even though the place was quite busy. The next visit is already planned- to try out the al la Carte menu- then perhaps the take away.
