Gastropub

Gastropubs' have become extremely popular in the last few years. They take the familiar, comfy bar setting and combine it with good quality, well prepared food.

The term 'Gastropub' was first coined in 1991 by a pub in the UK called The Eagle where they were looking to reinvent the pub grub culture.

Gastropub meals might be similar to what is traditionally served on a pub menu but they often put a spin on it, giving it a gourmet touch.
Some have described Gastropub as a combination of a French Bistro and a British Pub. They combine the casual elements of a pub or bar with the sophistication of a trendy atmosphere. Whether its having drinks after work or a leisurely dinner with friends, Gastropubs are often the 'it' place to be.
