Sushi

Sushi is a Japanese dish made of cold cooked rice, a small amount of vinegar and a selection of raw fish, vegetables and nori (seaweed). Sushi restaurants are often paired with Seafood or Asian style menus and you are guaranteed to find the freshest and tastiest fish on offer.

Sushi is served with pickled ginger and wasabi (grated green horseradish). It is considered okay to eat with your fingers, or with chopsticks. Menus may also offer a selection of sashimi (slices of raw fish); or cooked dishes like three spiced tuna.

Most sushi restaurants are authentic in dcor and may have open counters where the sushi is prepared by chefs as you watch. A rotating conveyor belt sometimes displays the choices, all colour coded according to price.
