If there was a way to bottle a French patisserie and all its gloriously indulgent baking, its quiet celebration of fine food and its reserved but opulent nature, then this is it. The Patisserie, in the Illovo Post Office Centre opposite Thrupps, in the heart of trendy Illovo, basks in timeless elegance and makes for a romantic yet tres chic French dining experience. The Patisserie is the meeting place for people to enjoy the Parisian atmosphere or a touch of Breakfast at Tiffany's and out of this world treats which are a delight for every diner.

Read more "I am a customer for many years, since the days of the previous owner before she moved to Cape Town. At that time the Patisserie Illovo produced the most scrumptious Cakes, pastries, cup cakes, fudge and the list goes on. I tasted many of those, all so delicious.
Our family favorite is the Granadilla Cake the 20 or 26 cm, this cake is the best we've ever tasted! Helen is the owner now and we still go back for any occasion to buy the scrumptious granadilla cakes, and macroons. You simply have to go there for a lunch breakfast or just a slice of cake or a pastry, it's always the best outing to take a family member or friend along."
