Restaurant description

Scrooge Diner, one of Gauteng's most sought after eating destinations is situated at the Brightwater Commons in a secure and controlled family environment. The restaurant's unique setting, at the edge of a bubbly brook and with lush green surrounds, creates a tranquil setting to enhance your dining experience. For business lunches or family outings, Scrooge Diner provides quality food, friendly and efficient service and value for money in a relaxed atmosphere.

Decorated in attractive colours, with a contemporary style interior, the restaurant has two levels. The ground floor has a seating capacity of 120 inside and 180 outside on the patio. The upstairs dining area and terrace seats 150 guests and offers a more private dining experience as it overlooks the commons and musical fountain. Due to its excellent indoor/outdoor flow and function bar, Scrooge is well suited for private parties and functions whether it is a spit braai or set menu which can be tailored to suit your requirements. The spacious balcony is popular for enjoying sundowners as well as a variety of cocktails

The a la carte menu offers everything from breakfast for the early birds, to a mouthwatering selection of chicken, fish, pasta and vegetarian dishes. There is also a kiddies menu, and a variety of well priced light meals on the pub lunch menu. Main course recommendations include the famous 1kg Payday Steak, 1kg Eisbein, Lamb Shanks and tender matured Steaks. To round off your meal a wide selection of desserts are available such as the Meringue Basket with forest berries, Chocolate Mousse, or Cheesecake which are all popular choices. Scrooge is fully licensed and to compliment your meal stocks a range of affordable wines, as well as a selection of award winning wines for special occasions.
