Restaurant description

Situated on 21 acres of natural farmland in the heart of the Cradle of Humankind, Gauteng's best kept secret awaits. An old farmhouse majestically refurbished to display and utilize a collection of antique tables, chairs, candlesticks, silver, bronze statues, crystal and glass.

Three separate but linked dining rooms make up the dining area with every table individually decorated with flower and fruit arrangements complimenting the abundant flower displays throughout the restaurant. The restaurant has a romantic old-world charm in a unique country baroque setting.

Cuisine is by Chef Patron Errol Gobey with a full a-la-carte offering complimented by daily specials suited for a wide variety of both local and international tastes.

Bellgables has achieved numerous awards since starting out and includes amongst others: Best Country Restaurant, Best Overall Restaurant in the FNB Premier Card Fine Dining Restaurant Awards, American Express Platinum Card Fine Dining Programme 2000-2007, Fleur Du Cap Restaurant Week Fine Dining and Gourmet Category Winner 2002-2003, Diners Club International 'Wine List of the Year' Merit, Gold & Platinum Award 2006. Bellgables has also received the the prestigious 'Blazon' international symbol of excellence in food, wine and service, awarded by the Confrerie De La Chaine Des Rotisseurs, of which Errol Gobey is Maitre Rotisseur.
