Seelan Restaurant and Bar was brought to life by Veteran Chef and experienced Restauranteer Seelan Sundoo.

At Seelan guests are treated to a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere and a variety of contemporary and European inspired dishes, including all of Seelan's amazing Signature Dishes.

The Restaurant is situated at the V&A Waterfront so guests are spoilt with fantastic panoramic views of this breath-taking area.

Recently my family and I were treated to a wonderful dining experience at Seelan. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the Manager Caydon and shown to our quaint table, perfectly positioned in a quieter area of the restaurant.

For starters we indulged in some deep fried calamari - incredibly tender and pleasantly seasoned, as well as a light and fresh salad, perfectly crisp featuring a range of tantalising components. We also enjoyed some deicious cocktails - a traditional cosmo and refreshing mojito.

Therafter we took pleasure in two of the spectacular Signature Dishes - The Lamb Curry and Zwelet's Duck Rice.

The generous portion of spicy Lamb Curry was served with rice and condiments, the lamb was superbly tender and could almost melt in your mouth. The Curry was incredibly aromatic and really had a great kick to it. I savoured in a delightful glass of Merlot alongside this dish.

Having never had the pleasure of eating duck before we were extremely excited to dig into the Zwelet's Duck Rice dish, flawlessly plated, the duck was amazingly soft and delicate. We really loved the Mozambiquan spices used in this dish. Hubby enjoyed a unique craft beer along with this meal.

Our little one enjoyed a delicious bowl of Bolognese, which she gobbled down in delight along with a freshly made strawberry shake.

After thoroughly enjoying our meals we opted to share a small portion of dessert, which consisted of a variety of fresh and vibrant fruit, a helping of malva pudding and custard as well as a delicious brownie with a dash of cream.

The service we received from our lovely waiter was top-notch. He was a delight and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere here was incredibly relaxing and serene.

We really enjoyed the layout of the restaurant too as it caters to a variety of tastes and needs. Our time at Seelan was nothing short of amazing, the service was impecable and the food was absolutely divine, we will definitely be back again soon.
